 Elaine Shepard brings a wealth of experience and talent to the law firm. She worked as a legal secretary for 42 years at the well-known insurance defense firm of Macleay, Lynch, Gregg & Lynch in Washington, D.C. until her retirement in 2003. While there, Elaine was the Office Manager, handling the day-to-day operations of the firm including hiring support staff and billing.
Elaine was the first employee to join Bruce in January 2004 for the opening of his law firm in Elkton, MD. Although she was only interested in working part-time, she assisted Bruce in whatever was needed to get a start-up law firm successfully underway. She has continued to work for him as he has grown his practice. In addition to managing the office and performing necessary legal secretarial duties, she handled all the subrogation cases up to the trial itself.
Elaine and her husband, Buddy, live in Chesapeake City where she has served on the Planning and Zoning Commission and currently serves as Councilwoman. In her role as Councilwoman, she serves as liaison to parks and recreation and the Planning and Zoning Commission.
Elaine and Buddy have a daughter, son-in-law, and two terrific grandchildren, whom they love to visit. |
